Smaller cars are sedans, coupes, hatches and compact SUVs: two large windows plus the small glass each side. Large SUVs and tourers have three large windows plus the small glass each side. Removing old tint is $100 to $150. A windscreen is extra. A sunroof is not included.

What it is

A film on the inside of the glass. It cuts heat, glare and UV. Privacy glass from the factory is only dark glass, and it does not do that job.

How it works

Carbon ceramic blocks 60% of heat and 60% of glare. Nano ceramic blocks 90% of heat and 70% of glare. Both are published at 99% UV. You pick the darkness, down to the legal limit: 35% on the front side windows and 20% on the rears in Victoria.

How long it lasts

The install carries a lifetime warranty. It does not transfer if the car is sold. The film is on the car in about 2 to 4 hours.

Warranty

Lifetime on
the install.

The tint install on the side and rear windows carries a lifetime warranty. It is not transferable to a later owner.

The front windscreen can be tinted for an extra charge. Some cars are refused because of technology in the glass, or a high risk of cracking.

Sunroofs are not included.

    Choose the film

    Carbon or nano, and a darkness. Or the darkest shade Victoria allows.

  2. 02

    Check the glass

    Privacy glass, old tint, and whether the windscreen can take film.

  3. 03

    Install

    Sides and rear. The job is published as two to four hours. Old film, if it has to come off first, is a separate fee.

  4. 04

    Leave it to cure

    Do not wind the windows down for 3 to 5 days.

Legal darkness in Victoria, privacy glass, and how to treat the film.

  • What is the darkest legal tint in Victoria?

    35% on the front two windows and 20% on the back and rear. A lower percentage is a darker film.

  • The rear is already privacy glass. Does it need film?

    Yes, if you want heat, glare and UV rejection. Privacy glass is dyed. It does not do that work. A clear film over the rear, plus 35% on the fronts, is the usual recommendation.

  • How do I look after it?

    Wait 3 to 5 days before winding the windows down. Clean with a mild, non-ammonia cleaner and a soft cloth. Skip abrasive pads and harsh chemicals.

  • Can old tint come off, and can you do the windscreen?

    Old tint can be removed. The windscreen can be filmed on cars the studio accepts. Both are extras, confirmed when you book. Sunroofs are not included.
